Responsibilities and tasks:
The DC Installer is responsible for the installation and mounting of solar panels on rooftops or other designated areas. They work with the installation team to ensure the proper placement, alignment, and secure mounting of solar panels. The DC Installer may also assist in the connection of DC cables and components, as well as the testing and commissioning of the DC side of the PV system. They adhere to safety protocols and quality standards during the installation process.
Conditions:
Education and Training:
While not mandatory, previous experience or training in solar panel installation is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in solar installation and maintenance is preferred. This can be gained through internships, on-the-job training, or working under the supervision of experienced professionals. Experience in construction works can also be beneficial
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to work with DC electrical components. Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions
Knowledge of Regulations and Standards:
Familiarity with local and national regulations, guidelines, and occupational safety regulations related to solar installations. This includes understanding building codes.
Physical Fitness:
The work of a Installer involve climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting heavy equipment. Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are important.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication and teamwork abilities are necessary for collaborating with colleagues.
